I'm still alive

I say that tongue-in-cheek, of course.  I haven't posted on this blog in almost three years.  You would think this site would be 100% complete, having had the better part of an entire year off due to COVID.  But, no.  I was lazy as fuck throughout the entire lockdown, and got nothing done other than a few colored pencil drawings.  Anyways, what's gone on since December of 2019? 

• In March of 2020, Brooke and I took our oldest, Hunter, to San Francisco for his 10th birthday adventure.  Our primary reason for going was to see a Warriors game in person, but on top of that we also checked all of the touristy things off the list: We drove down Lombard St., took the ferry to Alcatraz, drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, and visited Muir Woods.  It was an incredible trip, and one that Hunter still talks about almost three years later.  
• I have taken zero - yes, zero - hiking trips.
• Brooke and I bought a house on Cape Cod in April of 2021.  Our Whaler is parked in the driveway there, and we have been enjoying every minute of our free time there.  
• I finally bought a Land Cruiser!  This bad boy is a 2006 who spent the first twelve years of his life in North Carolina, so he's a rust-free, impeccably maintained specimen of an SUV.  See below!

• In June of 2022, the five of us spent twelve days in Italy.  Brooke's parents rented a villa in Tuscany (Gaoile in Chianti) for five weeks, so Brooke masterfully planned a vacation around that.  We flew into Rome, and spent three days there.  Drove north to Gaiole for five days, and then did three days in Florence and a day in Pisa before flying home.  It was the trip of a lifetime, and we were so blessed to be able to enjoy it with the kids.
• Next July (2023), we're taking Max on his 10th birthday adventure.  Where, none of you ask? Glacier National Park.  Max is our most outdoorsy kid, and for his adventure he wants to do a dinosaur fossil dig.  So, we're flying into Kalispell, renting a car and driving to East Glacier where we'll spend five days at the Glacier Park Lodge.  We have a dino dig scheduled with the Montana Dinosaur Center in Bynum for one of the days, and hope to fish, hike, and explore the remainder of the days.
