Brooke and I and the boys were lucky enough to recently enjoy a weekend up in Glen, NH with my mom and dad, both former camping enthusiasts who have matured into the finer things of life (like running water and heat). My parents stayed at a nearby hotel while Brooke and I and the boys stayed at our new favorite spot, Glen Ellis Campground. The weather was unseasonably cold, even by New Hampshire's standard. It was too cold to enjoy breakfast outside at the campground, so we packed up and headed to a local breakfast joint before heading to a very brisk day at Storyland. It slowly warmed up throughout the day, we still managed to enjoy a riverside fire with some adult beverages while the kids played with their trucks on the river bank. All in all, it was a memorable weekend for my two boys who got to spend it with their Grampy & Grammy, and equally memorable for me who got to enjoy a weekend watching his two sons spend time with their grandparents who they love and adore immensely. The most important thing that was taken away, of course, was that our next camper needs heat.
