In the summer of 2003 I had the opportunity to intern with the Sarasota Red Sox, the High-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. The SaraSox, as they were called, played in the Florida State League. Our home field was Ed Smith Stadium right in downtown Sarasota, only 60 or so miles north of where the Boston Red Sox maintain Florida Operations and spend Spring Training in Fort Myers, FL. Below you will find a photo slideshow and some of the press releases I authored during my internship are attached, as well. It was certainly a summer to remember for a 23-year-old Red Sox fan from Massachusetts.
